I wasn't there in person, but, Babs sent me a few pictures of Sam and Alex attending their PROM. They are both in their JR year in High School -- oh, the memories :) Alex looks so pretty, and, ofcourse I'm a bit biased that Sam is the cutest boy in his High School! Fun night for them, an
d also the proud Hougen parents.

Congrats to Aaron :)
Just a quick shout out to Aaron for his new job at Mile High Harley Davidson in Parker, CO. I think it will be a tremendous improvement/advancement for him! There is a motorcycle trade magazine that is very popular among the motorcycle enthusiasts, and Allison posted this ad in a recent issue. Very cute, HUH! Good Luck and congratulations Aaron!!

My Latest Project
I think it may be kind of difficult to see in these pictures, but, this is real cool. REALLY.
Last year we had some sproutings in our back yard from our neighbors Aspen tree -- I think Aspen trees are actually weeds, however, these sprouted in an area where
the trees would actually look OK, so rather than pulling out the sproutings like I usually do I thought I would let them grow. They are right in front of our hot tub, so will actually bring us a bit of privacy.
OK, so here is the cool thing...... I BRAIDED the trees! Yep -- There are a total of 5 sproutings, so I braided 3 of them and twisted together the other two. It's so neat! I check on them weekly to make sure they are still in tact, but I think after this summer of growing they will be well on their own way. Pretty Neat, wouldn't you agree?????

Now I think it really IS Spring Time in the Rockies
A few signs that I really do believe that we FINALLY have reached our Spring season here in Colorado:
1) Pear-y is in full bloom
2) We mowed the grass for the first time
It feels great! I love the warm weather! Yesterday it was so nice I wore
shorts and just a T-shirt all day -- that's my kind of living :)
Happy Spring to everyone!

UGH! - Springtime in the Rockies
Hmmmmm, Bob says "Spring Time in the Rockies S#CKS!!!" I think I have to agree today. We are watching the snow fall - typical for this time of year :)
Oh, what the heck -- this late in the season, it can't last long - right? Let it snow, let it snow...........

Job Hunting
I'm on the hunt (again) for a new job! I enjoy my work, I just don't want to do it 10+ hours a day, evenings.....etc!
If anyone knows of anything where I can work just a little, and make a lot of $$$$. Let me know :)

Congratulations to Ginger and Sam Silverman
Bob and I attended the wedding of the Ginger Gregory and Sam Silverman in Santa Barbara, CA. Ginger is Bill Gregory's daughter, who was one of Bob's college room mates. They've been friends for a long time! While we were there, Bob and I spent a day touring the area and found a real neat old bar -- which, ofcourse we stopped in for a beer and also toured 3 winery's. This was a fun trip!
Here are a few pictures and more are found at:
