Wild Women on Wine.....

The full title is: Wild Women on Wine in Woodland (Without Wendy)..... it's a mouthful to say, and Deb and I couldn't have said it that night! It was most certainly a girls night out, we wore our 'party' shirts that we purchased at the street fair in Tucson, and off we go to Woodland Park. I can't tell you the number of businesses we stopped in, but each served wine to us wild women!! Mark and Bob were our DD's and waited it out for us. GREAT evening!!!
It starts out with us getting our WWonWinW Tote, a nice wine glass, then we had to pick our 'Escort' for the evening!!! Deb and I scanned all of the men (escorts), and decided to go with looks.... Greg -- what a dufis.... I think he drank more than we did! He was cute though, made the evening more fun..... and, I don't know why, but Deb and I bought some cool cowgirl hats!! What a terrific evening! Wild Women on Wine in Woodland (Without Wendy).......

Gosh! Thanks!!!

Could I have picked a better family???? I got these beautiful flowers for Mother's Day! Thanks kids!! You're the absolute best.

Back in Tucson

I'm behind on my blogging -- that's for sure!! But, I need to mention what a fantastic time we had in Tucson when Mark and Debs came to visit. The boys golfed one day, which was cool, since it was Mark's first time out since starting dialysis. They had a great time, and Debs and I went up and hiked in Sabino canyon. It was fun, and since it's been so wet there, the washes are definately full of flowing water. The first one we came upon, we both took our shoes off to get through, but there were so many we eventually just kept on our shoes and walked through. Thus the reason we always saw tennis shoes drying out at our place from our neighbors. We had a fantastic visit, that's for sure! Can't wait for more visitors next year!

Happy Birthday, Higgy!

Our dear friend Higgy died in 1995, and each year on his birthday, Bob and I drive to his gravesite and have a beer with him! Sounds strange, sure, but, it's our tradition......... we still miss him. We drink a beer and leave one for Hig, where most people would leave flowers. I think the caretaker looks forward to Hig's birthday each year!!!
Happy Birthday, Hig

What a GREAT Visit!!

We had the best time, when Kristi, Gary, Cindy, Barry, Ruth, Ellenora and Henry came to visit us!!! I keep thinking back of the fun times, and just literally 'laugh out loud'! This post would be way too long to even give everyone just the highlights.... Lots of laughter, lots of fun for the girls and the guys enjoyed themselves also Golf for the guys, a day at the pool for the gals, a day being lost downtown :), a day in Sabino Canyon. Let's not forget a surprise birthday party for Bob also!!!! Here are a few pics, and the entire weekend can be seen http://picasaweb.google.com/Donna.Loves.Bob/2010Tucson_Greenfields#

Something to Call Our Own

Well, living in a Condo, we don't have our own yard, so I thought I would venture and give us something that we could watch grow and call our own. So, I planted a little cactus last week. And, the name? Well, it wouldn't be more appropriate to call him 'Tucson'!! Welcome to our condo little Tucson..........
They grow approximately 1 1/2 INCH in FIVE years, so I don't now how much we'll be able to see him grow, but still...
Cute, HUH!

Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving to our wonderful Family and friends. We had the most fantastic weekend, having Luke and Karen visit from Coyote, WY and brother Allen from Portland, OR. I throw a shout out to my brother Larry for making it back here from Trucking, and Mychal thanks for the visit. Amy was able to drive down to see us all -- and, always loving to see the rest of us that are here -- Frohlich's, Hougen's, Mark and Matt Andersons, and the David Sands. We got to see Chuck and Allison, Bob had lunch with Aaron, we got to hook up with the Davis clan.... life is great -- truly a wonderful weekend. Thanks to all! Love to all of you.
We missed seeing Cindy, Tom, Sara and Dad. Hopefully we will see you soon!
Seems like I go through these new digital camera's pretty quick, and looks like I need a new camera once again. My pics are not all that good, but enjoy as you can and the entire Thanksgiving picture album can be found:

More Tucson stuff

Bob is home now from Tucson, he took a few more pics. So, we now have bedroom and livingroom furniture, fully stocked kitchen - thanks to my new friend Ingrid. The couple of pics outside just kind of show what the place is like, it's nice and home-y..... oh, yeah, you're probably wondering about the animals -- these are javalina's and the picture was taken right out our front door. Bob said there was a herd of about 10 of them! Pretty crazy -- guess there's a lot of new wildlife to get used to.............

Just a little more on Tucson

Bob is in Tucson this week he moved some stuff down there and was meeting with furniture delivery, cable hookup, and ofcourse, we are in Tucson, so also meeting with the exterminator. Real necessity on a regular basis down there! Just a couple of picks from when we were there last time. I stacked up the rocks on our patio before we left last time, and Bob said they were still there untouched. If you've been hiking, you might see stacked stones like this...... to mark you way home. Nice to know the scerenity!

Tucson!

I've not been on this blog for so long. Lots has happened!!!! First off, we bought a condo in Tucson, AZ. I don't know if we are crazy or lucky...... Anyway, here are just a few pictures. We were down there last week to sow our seeds - we have no furniture, but you have to start somewhere! Here is a picture of our bedroom, then a couple taken from our patio. We are located in the Sabino Canyon foothills. Sure is different from Colorado!!

Good Harvest

I had a good crop of tomatoes, cucumbers and peppers this year in my garden! It was so fun to go out and pick fresh food each day for my lunches. Growing season is coming to an end however, but sure had a good year. Anybody need tomatoes?

Bob's 'August' Lake Trip

I think everyone knows that Bob makes, at minimum, two trips to the Lake of the Ozarks each year -- first in May, then in August. This year, a friend flew a private little 4-seater plane down there and Bob was able to tour the lake from the air. Pretty cool and exciting for him! Here are some pics of the plane, a couple of ariel views of the lake and the infamous cabin, along with Mark and Deb's new lake home. It's a nice place.

Welcome Jolene to our Family

I stole these off of Karen's blog... what a sweetheart! Karen and Luke welcomed their beautiful daughter into our family. Here are some pictures, and we will get to see her in person over the Labor Day weekend. Looking forward to seeing Luke, Karen, Emmett and Jolene. Isn't she pretty, and her big brother couldn't be cuter :)

Beautiful Flowers

Last weekend, Bob went to the grocery store - as he always does. I don't think I've been in a grocery store in ages, lucky me. Anyway, I wasn't feeling all that well that day and Bob came home with some beautiful sunflowers for me to vase. I thought, self, you have such beautiful flowers in your back yard, you should make a nice arrangement. So I did. So beautiful... Thanks Bob :)
